Reminder for residents along Mineral Springs Dr.

Tree trimming along the community wall on Keller-Smithfield is scheduled to begin Thursday, March 27^th. The work is expected to take a few days to complete due to the extensive work being performed.  We appreciate your patience during this time!

A few announcements from your SBE HOA Board and the Landscaping Committee

Note: The notice below may impact residents along Mineral Springs

As discussed during our annual meeting in October, the HOA Board will be continuing landscaping improvements along Keller-Smithfield. The Board has contracted with LaTour Tree Service to conduct a Class B trimming and care for the trees along Keller-Smithfield Parkway. The general scope of the service will include removing designated limbs that are impacting our Community Wall and/or homeowners’ property, removing dead limbs, and the canopies lifted to comply with the City of Keller requirements. LaTour will need limited access to backyards for homes along Mineral Springs. The work will commence in the next two weeks and is expected to take 2-4 days. The Board and/or Landscaping Committee will continue to post updates 72-hours before the actual start date and then on the progress once work commences.

UPDATE: The work along the southwall is now expected to extend through Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.

The HOA Board has contracted for a structural repair to the SOUTH wall of our community. Our contractor, Jefferies Construction, and their sub-contractor(s) will be removing a tree and repairing the wall from the 25th through the 27th of March. The majority of the work will take place on the side facing the Bank and Freddy’s but could have some impact for the yards of residents on Mineral Springs Court. The Contractors could need access to those backyards. You may want to keep pets inside during this time. For additional questions or concerns, please contact our Property Manager – Amanda Downer.

A Note from our Landscaping Committee:

Hello neighbors!

The weekend of Feb. 8th, the landscape committee will be walking Keller Smithfield to identify tree problem areas with the focus on those affected on Mineral Springs. We will be identifying trees that need maintenance and pruning. If you see us walking about, don’t hesitate to stop and ask any questions or point out issues with regards to tree limbs.

You may see a small flag and/or ribbon on affected branches, please do not remove them as we will use them for easy identification for removal and/or mitigation. This will also help streamline the bid process for the landscapers so it can be taken care with little inconvenience to the homeowners.

Note, this is the first step in the process. Once identified we will coordinate with homeowners on next steps. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask questions as we work through this issue.

NOTE:  The Landscape Committee meets every 3^rd Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be Wed., Feb 19^th.
